Notifications
In our latest update for Protect, you'll now receive notifications about the status of case downloads. This includes when a new download is requested and when it is ready. Additionally, you can mark notification items as read to remove them from the notifications area within the product.
Changes to search
Based on user feedback, we've made subtle changes to the search functionality. Protect will now, by default, expose search by timestamp and data - Users will no longer have to access this via the filter button. Just as before, you can easily enhance your search with additional properties. Simply select 'Add condition' in the filter bar to customise your query.
Changes to vocabulary
We've updated several terms and the names of certain features:
"Admin console" is now referred to as "Settings".
"End users" are now called "Data Subjects".
Changes to data subjects
Display names
For businesses managing a large user base, distinguishing between users with the same name has been challenging. To address this, we've introduced changes under Settings > Data Subjects. Here, you can access the display name settings to customise how a user is identified in Worklabs. By default, the display name will be set as 'Name', but you now have the option to include custom characters and other fields such as "External ID", "Job Title" and others. This ensures that each user in Worklabs is uniquely identifiable, eliminating the confusion of having multiple users with the same name.
Profile attributes
Building on the display name updates, the profile attributes section (accessible via Settings > Data Subjects > Profile Attributes) now lets you select which connected data source populates each profile attribute in Worklabs. This gives you the ability to choose the data source that provides the most complete or enriched information for a given field. This feature offers finer control over system aspects, such as the use of specific fields for display names.
People table
You can now see the segment assigned to each data subject, allowing account holders to identify users without a designated segment and to view the data source for each individual.
